Relationships
- Tokai Teio - Friend and rival. The two are also teammates on the anime-only team, Team Spica.
- McQueen’s relationship with Teio is the central emotional and competitive focus of season 2. Though they are close friends and teammates within Team Spica, their bond is shaped by a fierce rivalry. Their relationship reached its competitive peak during the Spring Tenno Sho, where Teio sought to maintain her undefeated streak while McQueen aimed to defend her title. McQueen's victory in that race saw Teio defeated for the first time, earning Teio's respect. Despite their rivalry, McQueen harbors deep affection and concern for Teio. In their everyday interactions, McQueen often acts as the "straight man" to Teio’s impulsive and energetic antics.
- IRL, Mejiro McQueen and Tokai Teio only faced each other once, that being the 1992 Spring Tenno Sho. They later became stable neighbors.
- Gold Ship - Friend. The two are teammates on both the anime-only team, Team Spica, and the game-only team, Team Sirius. Calls McQueen "Big Mac" and "Mac-Chan".
- Gold Ship loves pulling pranks on her often, often singling McQueen out. McQueen, who prides herself on the dignity of the Mejiro family, usually reacts with exasperation and/or scolding. Despite the frequent squabbles, they are close friends. Gold Ship is often one of the first to notice when McQueen is upset and cheers her up or distract her from her worries in her own unique way.
- IRL, McQueen is the damsire (maternal grandfather) of Gold Ship.
- Ikuno Dictus - Roommate
- IRL, McQueen sired one of Ikuno Dictus's foals and was seemingly fond of her as well.

Trivia
- Her initial character profile was uploaded to the official Twitter account on April 5, 2017.
- "Umamusume: Pretty Derby Artworks Vol.1" explains why her character designer made specific choices when designing her in relation to her real-life counterpart, which were as follows:
- McQueen's real counterpart originally had a gray coat that turned white as he aged. This was implemented into her design by making her race outfit black with white accents.
- As her real life counterpart was a hall of fame inductee with the "Mejiro" name, she wears an armband on her right arm to show pride for the Mejiro family.
- Since her real life counterpart's jockey silks had teal sleeves, her socks are mainly teal.
- McQueen is one of the many cases where the jockey's silk's colors were altered to create a more coherent design.
