Biography

A supreme love for racing... Unrivaled independence, a devilish flower that blooms at the top.

She is a brilliant and elegant Umamusume who stands out from the rest of the prestigious Mejiro family. Her awe-inspiring beauty and charming behavior are truly magical. She has captivated many people, but she devotes everything to her love for racing. Nothing can come in between.

Appearance

Mejiro Ramonu has black hair with a white streak, styled into an elaborate half-updo, her bun wrapped in various layers of braids with the rest of her wavy hair falling down either side of her face. Her left ear has a ribbon which has a white and teal band around it, a teal ribbon held by a golden ring protrudes from it. She has down-turned narrow eyes, that are a beautiful light gray color, with a mole underneath her right eye.

Ramonu's simple but elegant race outfit is telling of her personality. She wears a white top with a deep V-neck, and underneath that, a black tank-top. The sleeves of her shirt are teal, with a white stripe down the center. On her right arm, she wears a black arm band featuring a gold crest with a black bracelet on her wrist, and on her left arm, a white glove with elaborate lacing. Around her waist is a black belt with a teal outline. She wears a black form-fitting skirt with the back half of the skirt flaring out longer than the front, which reaches down to her thighs, and two rows of silver buttons down the center, and at the base of the skirt is a row of simple ruffles. On her right leg, she wears a black lacy thigh-high sock held up by a garter strap. Her shoes are a plain pair of heels, the left white, while the right is black.

Relationships

• Symboli Kris S - Friend and roommate. Kris S finds her speech easier to understand compared to other Umamusume, which she likes.
• Symboli Rudolf - Childhood friend and rival. When they were children, Ramonu nicknamed her "Loulou" and believed Rudolf was a perfect, flawless moon. Ramonu seeks the ultimate race, and knows Rudolf can give her that through her overwhelming running. She continually pushes for Rudolf to race with her, to Rudolf's dismay. Because Rudolf has taken on the duty of the Emperor, she believes she must only work on her goal of happiness for all Umamusume rather than running. For her own ideals, Rudolf tries to conceal her true self. Ramonu dislikes her Emperor persona and wants her to come back to the turf as her old self rather than as the Emperor. Ramonu says getting Rudolf to move is as easy as turning on a faucet. Ramonu also dislikes the flowery language Rudolf uses.
  • IRL, Symboli Rudolf and Mejiro Ramonu were bred together and had a foal named Mejiro Rivera, whom was titled the "Ten-Crown Foal" due to the combined G1 wins her parents had. Though Mejiro Rivera only raced in her maiden race, lost and never raced furthermore.
• Sirius Symboli - Childhood friend and rival. Ramonu gets along well with Sirius and the two of them understand each other. Both of them dislike the idea of running for history or other people and prefer to run for their own brilliance and love. Ramonu enjoys running with Sirius and considers it a simulating experience. Sirius has also escorted Ramonu to get French cuisine.
• Mejiro Ardan - Younger sister. Ardan wishes to be out of Ramonu's shadow, and wants to carve herself into history through her own merits. From time to time, Ramonu helps Ardan out with her hair. The two of them understand each other well, since they were both unable to run as children and had to stay inside. Ramonu still considers Ardan to be a child and finds her cute.
• Mejiro McQueen, Mejiro Ryan, Mejiro Dober, Mejiro Bright, Mejiro Palmer - Family.
• Still in Love - Rival and underclassman. As Ramonu was the first one to win the Triple Tiara, Still feels very envious of her. What doesn't help her is that in her career story, Still's trainer particularly admires Ramonu and finds her dazzling. When Ramonu begins to tease Still and say that she will "steal" her trainer away from her, Still gets angered and pursues the Triple Tiara because of her influence. As a racer in the Tiara route, Still wants to surpass Ramonu.
• Mr. C.B. - Friend and rival. Ramonu considers C.B. to be contradictory, believing she is tightly bound yet also carefree and free-spirited. She's fond of C.B.'s honest passion for racing. Ramonu admires C.B.'s fierce aura while running and says her running was unlike anything she felt before. Ramonu wishes to race with a Triple Crown Umamusume like Rudolf in order to create the ultimate race, and C.B. perfectly fulfills her desire for a Triple Crown Umamusume to race with her.
• Tanino Gimlet - Friend. Though Ramonu thinks Gimlet sounds self-conceited, she thinks that Gimlet is very honest to the point of sounding foolish, which she likes. She finds Gimlet to be interesting.
  • IRL, Tanino Gimlet and Mejiro Ramonu had a foal together named Mejiro Rastaban.
• Speed Symboli - Friend. Sometimes Speed and Ramonu would have late night chats with each other.

• She was announced during the 2nd Anniversary PakaLive TV stream on February 22, 2023.
• Character Design Notes from Umamusume: Pretty Derby Artworks Vol. 04:
  • As the motif horse was called "enchanting dark bay", her race outfit has an emphasis on the black while incorporating the Mejiro colors of white and teal.
  • As the motif horse was one of few horses with the Mejiro name in the Hall of Fame, a wrist band is worn to symbolize the honor and pride.
  • As she is a sibling to Mejiro Ardan both IRL and in Umamusume, she wears a bracelet that have a matching design with Ardan's brooch.
• Mejiro Ramonu, alongside Mejiro Ardan and Mejiro Bright, are the only members of the Mejiro Family that have never appeared in the main anime series.
  • The other two Mejiro members have appeared in at least one other spin-off anime projects either as a complete character or a cameo. This leaves Mejiro Ramonu to be the only Mejiro member to have never appeared in any kind of anime projects due to her late inclusion in the franchise.
    • She is also the sole Mejiro member to not sing the Mejiro Anthem since the song was released almost a year before her inclusion.
