Appearance
Rice Shower has long ears, and dark brown, almost black, hair. Her hair reaches her mid-back, and curls up at the tips, and she has long bangs that are swept to cover her right eye. She has pinkish-purple eyes. On her right ear, she wears a dark blue bowler hat, with a blue rose as decoration.
Her race outfit consists of an off-shoulder dress, with black lace around the bodice, and in the center, a blue rose. The base of her dress is dark blue with dark magenta sleeves. The sleeves flare out at the end with cutouts almost resembling the petals of a flower, and have decorative black trim. The dress' dark blue skirt has a scalloped magenta line going around the center, and the trim of the dress is decorated with the same black lace found in the bodice. Her tail has a very large, black, tail bow. She wears high-denier thigh-high stockings, decorated with black lace at the top. Around her waist is a brown dagger holster decorated with a silver rose, with a dagger inside the holster. For her shoes, she wears a simple black pair of heels, laced at the center, with decorative black ribbons on either side.

Trivia
- Her initial character profile was uploaded to the official Twitter account on April 3, 2018 as a part of a giveaway campaign.
- The blue flare in her eyes is a reference to a commercial the JRA released in 2012 as part of their commercial series "The Winner."
- Ironically, Rice Shower prefers bread over rice for breakfast. Agnes Digital noted that Rice was flustered at the contradiction between her name and her preference.
- "Umamusume: Pretty Derby Artworks Vol.1" explains why her character designer made specific choices when designing her in relation to her real-life counterpart, which were as follows:
- As her IRL counterpart defeated favorites and was called "the assassin", she wears a dagger symbolic to the nickname.
- With the jockey's silk colors of blue base and red sleeves more muted to in the design, the brown dagger holster represents the brown sash pattern on the silk.
- She is often associated with blue roses, which can be found on her hat. In floral language, they represent "God's blessing" and "dreams coming true", and represents a wish of being blessed as a hero.
- In her career, before racing the Takarazuka Kinen, an accident that on the racecourse that leads to her trainer being hurt almost results in the race being cancelled. Tragically, the real life Rice Shower suffered a fall at the 1995 Takarazuka Kinen that led to his untimely passing, with the game event likely in reference to the tragedy.
- Additionally, the 1995 Takarazuka Kinen was moved to Kyoto Racecourse instead of the usual Hanshin Racecourse due to an earthquake, with the in-game race also being moved to the Kyoto Racecourse for Rice Shower's career.
- She currently has the longest ears in the series.
