Mejiro Dober is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Biography
"You don't need to worry about little old me... Besides, I'm not used to getting so much attention..."
She wants to change! This Umamusume bears the scars of her past.
While cool and reticent, she remains tense in many social situations, especially if men are present. Though she was raised in the prestigious Mejiro household, where visitors are never rare, she has nonetheless led a very sheltered life. Perhaps because of this, she can come off cold to strangers, but those who take time to talk to her realize that she is not quite as uptight as she first seems.[1]

Appearance
Mejiro Dober has very neat and tidy dark purple hair that is grown just past her back. A single teal hair clip pins her bangs to the left side of her hair. On her left ear, she wears an assortment of various teal ribbons, some with white accents, some with gold, and a bundle of de-saturated blue ribbons contrasts the bunch on the back. She has light lilac eyes.
For her race outfit, she wears a simple short sleeve white frilled blouse, with a teal ribbon tied at the collar. Around her waist she wears a brown belt with gold accents, with multiple belt sections coming off the sides. Her thigh-length skirt is teal, and has white frills around the hem, and has a white and teal bow over her tail. Layered underneath this is another skirt with dark teal fabric and gold accents, also decorated by frilled white fabric. She wears white socks with teal stripes on both legs. Her shoes are short heeled boots with teal accents, black heels, and a white ribbon tied in the center.

- Her initial character profile was uploaded to the official Twitter account on June 22, 2017.
- This tweet was a character name prediction quiz, that encouraged fans to try and guess which horse she's named after. The hint was "Although she is insecure about her masculine name, she is a beautiful Umamusume with a very girly appearance. She hates men to the extreme."
- In chapter 6 of her character story, she mentions having a much younger sister and brother. These refer to her two full IRL siblings, Mejiro Jones (younger sister) and Mejiro Corsair (younger brother). IRL, Mejiro Jones was born 5 years after Dober, while Mejiro Corsair was born 8 years after.[2]
- As her name was based on the Doberman dog breed, her ears were designed to look like a Doberman post-ear cropping.
- Due to all Umamusume being females, regardless of their IRL genders, Dober's fears are only limited to the crowd although she sometimes feel some slight discomfort when talking to a few Umamusume.
