Smart Falcon is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Biography
"Hi, I'm Falco! My dream is to be the best Umadol I can be! ☆"
Leave the fanservice to her! Self-proclaimed future top Umadol.
An Umamusume idol, or Umadol for short. She's always focused on looking cute while winning, and aims to be the center at every winning concert. She loves to interact with her fans and participates in any event that may serve as good publicity. Despite being a proficient dirt racer, she has a slight complex about being associated with the unsightly substance.[1]

Appearance
Smart Falcon has almond-colored hair fastened into twintails with pink and purple checkered ribbons. On the right side of her hair, she wears three ribbons, which are purple, pink, and yellow. Her almond ears are small and come to a point at the tip, and her long almond tail is cut bluntly. She has yellow and amber-colored eyes.
In her race outfit, the previously pink and purple ribbons are now pink and black, and the three ribbons are now dark purple, lavender, and pink. She wears a frilly white dress with short puffed sleeves, tied at the end with a black lace. Her frilled blouse is fastened with a black bow at the top, with a red gem in the center. On top of the blouse is a pair of red suspenders that hold up a pink corset, and a checkered pink and black skirt layer. In the center of the corset is a white patch of fabric, with two red bows in the center. On her left leg is a red garter belt with white frills. She wears two red knee-high socks with white frills at the top. Her shoes are multicolored white, red, pink, purple, and black sneakers tied with red laces.
Relationships
- Eishin Flash - Friend and roommate. Eishin Flash takes on a manager-like role to Smart Falcon, helping her practice and schedule concerts. Flash is generally easygoing but will become strict when helping Smart Falcon practice, as she has a lot of potential and she truly believes in Smart Falcon becoming an amazing umadol.
- Curren Chan - Friend, specifically from dance practice. Smart Falcon, Curren Chan, and Eishin Flash often practice together. Curren Chan is also a big fan of Smart Falcon's career as an umadol.
- Furioso - Rivals and Friends. Smart Falcon instantly took interest in Furioso when they met, and despite Furioso trying to push her away, Smart Falcon was determined to make Furioso her friend. Falcon, Espoir, and Furioso would often practice together and over time, their friendship blossomed.
- Espoir City - Friends. Smart Falcon admires her guts and her boldness, and will often practice together with Furioso.
- Fuji Kiseki - Friends. Smart Falcon sees Fuji Kiseki as extremely pretty, and believes she is a "prince". She often helps Fuji Kiseki with her acting after school.
- Silence Suzuka - Friends and fellow Runaway Sister. Suzuka will often help Smart Falcon with her various umadol responsibilities and tasks, such as putting on concerts and fanmeets. Smart Falcon also looks up to Silence Suzuka, due to being such a great runner. She specifically desires to have the ability to run Turf Races, and sees Silence Suzuka as a mentor figure who can help teach her. She also feel it a great honor when fans call her the "Silence Suzuka of the Sand", though Suzuka herself is uncomfortable with the name, but does not outright disallow Falcon to use the name, just that she doesn't overuse it since it is embarrassing.
- Mihono Bourbon - Friends and fellow Runaway Sister. Smart Falcon easily sees past Mihono Bourbon's cold persona, and thinks she has a heart of gold.
- Agnes Tachyon - Friends. Tachyon wishes to analyze Smart Falcon's potential for speed, as well as "the measurable difference in the effects of endorphins she secretes," in Tachyon's words. Smart Falcon takes Tachyon's interest in her as being a huge fan, and is flattered that Tachyon wants to study her so badly. Thus, Smart Falcon happily goes along with any tests Tachyon wishes to do on her, though Falcon will run away from said experiments when she realizes she is in danger.
- Symboli Rudolf - Due to having interest in the prosperity of all Umamusume, Rudolf respects Falcon due to the fact that the latter's efforts have increased the interest in dirt races, as Umamusume in those races are usually overlooked, and Falcon is honored when Rudolf personally congratulates her, and wishes to live up to her expectations.
- Agnes Digital - Friend. Smart Falcon appreciates the support Digital gives her when she performs for concerts.

- Her initial character profile was uploaded to the official Twitter account on April 20, 2017.
- This tweet was a character name prediction quiz that encouraged fans to try and guess which horse she's named after. The hint was "She's an adorable and sparkling self-proclaimed "Umadol" (Umamusume Idol) with chestnut hair. She has spent a long and arduous history working her way up the local ranks. She has amazing speed, even on dirt tracks."
- Race uniform design notes from Umamusume Pretty Derby Artworks Vol.02:
- The dress's pink and black diamond pattern reference her jockey silks, with its voluminous nature intended to evoke an idol feeling.
- Red accents and socks are meant to evoke the red bandages and reins worn by the real horse, which contrasted with the chestnut coat.
- She wears sneakers because they are perfect for running on dirt.
- Despite the real horse having a visible blaze in real life, this was not incorporated into her Umamusume design.
