When you think of "cute," you think of Curren Chan, and when you think of Curren Chan, you think of the selfie goddess boasting over 3 million followers on Umastagram. Realizing just how adorable she was from the moment she was born, she's used her natural charm to bend her parents and seniors alike to her whims. Thanks to that, she is able to climb the social ladder of life with ease. To show everyone just how cute she is, she now aims for the top of the Twinkle Series.

Appearance
Curren Chan is a fair-skinned Umamusume with light pink pupils. Her round eyes have a single eyelash in the corners, and several smaller lashes on the bottom. Her short white hair frays into spikes at the end, with her bangs growing past her eyebrows, and the sides of her hair are curved to frame her face. She wears a black headband with black ear covers, and a simple red bow on her left ear.
Her race outfit is a long-sleeved off-shoulder dress. She has a black and white striped halter top with a white embellished collar around her neck. The top of her sleeves are a folded black fabric, and underneath that are long sleeves with two red cuffs at her forearm and wrist. She has black cuffs around her wrists, and wears white gloves underneath. She is wearing a black corset-esque skirt with light gold detailing, and frills at the end that frame the black and white-striped pattern. She wears red thigh-high socks held up by a metal crest, and two plain black knee-high boots.
Relationships
- Admire Vega - Roommate and close friend. Curren has been friends with Ayabe long enough to adapt to her standoffish behavior, so she is one of the few people who notice when something is seriously off with her. Curren Chan also looks out for Ayabe.
- Eishin Flash - Friend and rival. Curren supports Eishin Flash greatly, helping to comfort her when she is nervous before a big race specifically the Derby. Curren Chan is somewhat jealous of Flash, wanting to have people passionate about her racing the same way people are passionate about Flash. Curren also doesn't understand why Flash is the "more beloved runner," despite them starting their careers around the same time. However, Curren still loves Flash and doesn't hate her or hold it against her.
- Nishino Flower - Rival. Flower is Curren's "biggest obstacle" in her words, a talented runner who also has captured the hearts of many by being adorable. In fact, Curren is worried Flower is too cute, and is jealous that she gets people's attention so easily when Curren has to try so hard on her posts and image.
- Mayano Top Gun - Friend. They both enjoy taking selfies and fashion, and will go to boutiques and malls together to window shop and take photos in the photobooth. Like her, Mayano is also obsessed with Umastagram.
- Biko Pegasus - Rival and friend. Biko is very popular on Umatok, so Curren Chan considers her a fierce rival entirely based on that fact. The two are still friends though, with Curren Chan happy Biko is popular and supporting her by liking all her posts and collaborating with her. She also notes that she admires the fact that Biko is able to grow despite only targeting a specific group, unlike Curren who just posts generally without any niche.
- Hishi Akebono - Rival. Curren Chan considers her a very fierce rival, primarily when it comes to Umastagram. Curren notes how Akebono posts a large amount of variety content, meaning her content is for everyone.
- Smart Falcon - Friend, specifically from dance practice. Smart Falcon, Curren Chan, and Eishin Flash often practice together. Curren Chan is also a big fan of Smart Falcon's career as an umadol and a big supporter.
- Taiki Shuttle - Rival. Curren Chan admires her bubbly and open personality, but considers her a fierce rival due to her amazing sprinting capabilities and her popularity on Umatube. However, this rivalry is one-sided on Curren's end.
- Gold City - Friend. Gold City is very easily annoyed by Curren Chan's obsession with Umastagram, but the two often go to cafes together and Gold City genuinely likes spending time with Curren Chan.
- King Halo - Friend and idol. Curren Chan admires King Halo and truly sees her as a first rate Umamusume. Curren Chan, in her own words, says she would love to sit down with King Halo and "pick her brain." Curren Chan also thinks King Halo is incredibly powerful and wants to be like her, even asking King Halo to help her train.
- Transcend - Friend. The two get along well, and Transcend often gives Curren Chan info on things like trends and new overseas smartphone releases.
- In real life, they were both trained by Takayuki Yasuda.
- Aston Machan - Friend. Because of their names, the two have formed the "Chanchan Alliance". Curren also showcases a Machan doll in one of her streams as a nod to this alliance.
- Dream Journey - Friend. Curren Chan visits the Expeditionary Support Committee from time to time, and even comes up with a collaborative stream with Dream Journey to bring more publicity to the club. Curren also helps Journey with choreography during dance lessons.

- Her initial character profile was uploaded to the official Twitter account on June 8, 2017.
- This tweet was a character name prediction quiz, that encouraged fans to try and guess which horse she's named after. The hint was "She is a flashy young girl who excels at short distances. She has a very cute personality and is incredibly popular among both her fans and idols at Tracen Academy."
- She mentions that she had an older brother in her character story. This brother was fond of songs about spring, and was the one who encouraged Curren to pursue cuteness ever since she was a kid.
- This is a reference to her real life older brother, Spring Song, who passed away in 2011.
- She dislikes fireworks according to her character story.
- In the global version of the game, a Valentine's Day line of hers is currently missing. In the Japanese version, she has a line that reads "お兄ちゃん/お姉ちゃんにはチョコじゃなくて、 カレンをあげちゃおっかな～♪ …本気にしても、いいよ？" (Instead of chocolate, maybe I should give Big Bro/Sis Curren...I'm serious, you know?) However, this line is replaced with the Happy Valentine's voice clip from when an Umamusume gives chocolate on Valentine's.
- In her character story, it's confirmed that her trainer met Curren when she was a kid at an amusement park.
- She shows interest in competing abroad in her career story.[1]
- This is a reference to her competing in Hong Kong a few times in real life. In 2011, she competed in the Hong Kong Sprint, where she placed 5th, and she challenged the same race again in 2012, where she placed 7th.
- She makes sure to always wear a mini-skirt in order to be at 100% cuteness.[2]
- The title "Fille Eclair" for her regular racewear and the title "Ma Cherie" for her wedding racewear is a possible nod to her grandsire's name, French Deputy.
