Biography
"Yup, I'm happy with a third place—it's all an extra like me can ask for."
Don't expect much from her. This Umamusume is super cynical.
An Umamusume of humble background with a penchant for being pessimistic. She tends to think of herself as a supporting character, and this causes her to shy away from high expectations—this sometimes leads to imperfect performances. She has quite the knack for cooking and cleaning due to her working-class upbringing, and does so whenever she has time. She's something of a familiar face among the seniors in her town.

Appearance
Nice Nature has red hair, tied into fluffy short over-the-shoulder pigtails by green hair ties. She has two reddish-brown cowlicks on the center of her bangs, swooping to the right, one is larger than the other. Her ears have two red covers with green knots laced to the top, and her right cover has a green bow at the base. Her eyes are light brown.
Her racing outfit is a layered dress, the base is black with four golden buttons on her waist. Around her neck is a large red and green bow, with a golden medallion in the center. Her short dress has a red fluffy petticoat underneath. Her long sleeves are cream-colored with green and red bands wrapped around her wrist, and the end of the sleeve is made of a spiky white fabric. On her left leg is a red X-shaped leg strap with metallic silver clamps holding the fabric together, it continues to her lower leg, and holds up her left sock. She wears a pair of brown knee-high laced-up boots, with red socks underneath.

- In real life, Nice Nature's sire, Nice Dancer, is the damsire of Tokai Teio.
- Twin Turbo - Classmate, friend and teammate on the anime-only team, Team Canopus. They met each other in one of Tokai Teio's races and have remained friends ever since.
- In Twin Turbo's character story, Nice Nature even helps Turbo's trainer to convince her to train when she doesn't want to.

- Mejiro McQueen, Mejiro Ryan - Friends and rivals. In the game, McQueen and Ryan help Nice Nature with her training and support her before her race. They sometimes hang out together too.

- Her initial character profile was uploaded to the official Twitter account on June 22, 2017.
- This tweet was a character name prediction quiz, that encouraged fans to try and guess which horse she's named after. The hint was "She has great ability, but she doesn't have the best luck. It seems she's always in third place."
- "Umamusume: Pretty Derby Artworks Vol.1" explains why her character designer made specific choices when designing her in relation to her real-life counterpart, which were as follows:
- Her race outfit design was made to be both calm and chic, attempting to showcase both the girly and mature mentality of her character.
- Her ribbon is inspired by the hood of her real-life counterpart with the same pattern, with the N.N. initials on the end standing for Nice Nature.
- The thigh belt she wears represents the injury her real-life counterpart faced. In the Umamusume universe, several girls wear belts on their legs in hopes that it will prevent them from becoming injured when running.
- In her initial setting she was "looking for a rich and handsome boyfriend," which is slightly referenced in Season 1 of the anime.[1]
- She is one of the few Umamusume who thinks Symboli Rudolf's jokes are funny.
- She is nicknamed "Bronze Collector" due to her in-real-life counterpart finishing third in the Arima Kinen for three consecutive years, and the game makes multiple references to this.
- Her unique skill requires her to be in third place towards the end of the race to activate.
- She gets her epithet if she achieves third place in three G1 races.
- In the game, she is a singer for Honnou Speed and NEXT FRONTIER despite her real-life counterpart having never achieved a G1 win. This is due to the real horse having won the 1995 Takamatsunomiya Hai, a 2,000 meter G2 race that became a 1,200 meter G1 sprint in 1996 and currently known as the Takamatsunomiya Kinen, and taking part in the Arima Kinen 5 times respectively.
