Curren Bouquetd'or is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.

Biography

"I promise, one day, to arranage a bouquet that befits you..."

An overwhelmingly kind-hearted Umamusume who likes tending to flowers and flower arrangement. She is thoughtful and yielding, considering others' feelings before her own. This, combined with some of her peers from the same generation having a stronger impression, often results in her being left out of the spotlight, but her prowess is nevertheless legitimate. She's but a single flower, but she is one that firmly belongs in the bouquet that is an 'era'.

Appearance

Curren Bouquetd'or has muted gray coming into beige eyes and long brown hair with a small white strand at the front, with loose twin curly braids at her sides slightly below her shoulder with straight bangs that cover her forehead. She wears a black ear cover on her right ear and an ear cover with a multicolored floral pattern on her left ear. She also wears a frilled beige headband with a large beige bow at her left ear adorned with a black tag that reads "Curren Bouquetd'or."

Her race outfit resembles an upside-down floral bouquet, consisting of a layered black and white dress with a high-low hemline, shorter in the front and longer in the back. The inside lining of the skirt is vibrant and colorful, featuring a floral pattern with various flowers in shades of pink, yellow, blue, and green, both dress layers also have some gold accents. It is tied with a black sash on the empire waistline with a large black bow at the side with a small golden flower on the bow. She wears shoes with mismatched colors, with a black shoe on her right foot and a white shoe on her left, both with red ankle straps at the top. Curren Bouquetd'or also wears long white gloves that reach above the elbows, with the right glove's hand being colored in black.

• Yamanin Zephyr - Friend and roommate. They both get along as fellow calm Umamusume, and Zephyr particularly likes the tea Bouquet makes.
• Almond Eye - Friend and upperclassman. They are close friends, and Almond Eye looks out for Bouquet. Bouquet looks up to her as her upperclassman, and aspires to be as strong as her.
  • Curren Bouquetd'or is Almond Eye's stablemate in real life.
• Chrono Genesis - Friend and classmate. As rivals, Bouquet wishes to catch up to Chrono. Off the racetrack, they are friendly with each other, and connect as they are both soft-spoken.
• Loves Only You - Friend and classmate.
• Gran Alegria - Friend and classmate. They sometimes take care of flowerbeds together.
• Curren Chan - Friend. They have been friends ever since childhood, and Curren was the one who initially inspired Bouquet to race after she watched her run. They both look out for each other, and Curren tries to encourage Bouquet on being more assertive. She is also the one who helped her with her racewear.
• Kawakami Princess - Friend. On occasion, they go to cafes together, and Kawakami likes to talk to her about Princess Fighter. Bouquet also makes her flower tiaras.
• Lucky Lilac - Friend and upperclassman. Bouquet finds her funny, and they sometimes hang out together.

• Curren Bouquetd'or's design has multiple references to an actual bouquet, including:
  • A tag with her name written on it, similar to a price tag.
  • Her racewear flipped upside down resembles that of a bouquet.
• The frills on her headband are a nod to how in real life, she had to wear a shadow roll while she was active.
• The days always being sunny when she's with her mother is a reference to her IRL dam's name, which is Solaria. Another nod to the IRL dam is Bouquet's mother being from Chile, much like the real horse.
• She likes small and cute animals.
• In her career story, Chrono mentions that a certain Australian Umamusume attempted to win a long-distance race, but failed to do so.
  • This Umamusume is a reference to the Australian racehorse Makybe Diva, who placed 7th in the 2005 Tenno Sho (Spring).
• She is particularly good at brewing tea, especially chamomile milk tea.
• She is not afraid of ghosts, and instead feels sympathy for them.
