Trivia
- Curren Chan was known to be an affectionate horse with a stable temperament, and would lick her trainers' hand when it was presented in front of her. People who took care of her would describe her as "a horse as cute as a doll".
- Curren Chan gets along well with Daiwa Scarlet. Whenever it is time to graze, Curren Chan would chase away other older mares, but would not do the same to Daiwa Scarlet, and would even graze together.[2]
- Her jockey Kenichi Ikezoe was known to ride temperamental horses like Orfevre and Sweep Tosho. However, Curren Chan was one of the very few horses known to treat him with respect, or even affection. Due to this, Ikezoe liked Curren Chan a lot, he would call her cute and constantly pet her when they meet.[3]
- Curren Chan became white in color since her retirement from races, as most gray horses do when they age. When Ikezoe met her again, he was surprised that she became a lot whiter than the last time he met her, and even exclaimed "is this really Curren Chan?".
- In 2011, due to technical issues, Curren Chan's flight to Hong Kong was delayed, and she had to be at Kansai International Airport for much longer than intended.[4] However, unlike how the average horse would act in a situation like this, Curren Chan was very calm during the overdeal.[5]
