"Hello, I'm Daiwa Scarlet! I'll do my best to... Hmph! I'm going to be number one. That's all!"
Self-centered! A snappy girl with a competitive spirit.
She's a competitive, strong, and sassy Uma Musume who's always striving to be number one. On the surface, she pretends to be a docile honor student, but in reality she has a feisty spirit. She's willing to go to any lengths to come out on top. Her rivalry with Vodka always stands out from the crowd.

Appearance
Daiwa Scarlet wears her orange-red hair in two knee-length twintails. Her twintails are tied with fluffy blue hairties, with a pink ribbon adorning her left ear. She has two ahoges framing her face, and on top of her head is a tiara with a blue gemstone in the middle. Her sharp eyes are hot pink, with black pointed pupils.
Her race outfit is a royal blue dress, adorned with golden trim. The top of the dress is white with ruffles going down the center, and around her neck is a dark blue ribbon. Her shoulders are clad in golden Epaulettes, with a gold tassel hung off of her right shoulder. The dress' sleeves reach her wrists, and the cuffs are white with royal blue stripes. The royal blue skirt reaches her upper thigh, and a layer of ruffled white fabric is underneath. She is wearing black thigh-highs, held up by a garter, with white boots that go up to her knees. On top of those boots is a pair of white heeled boots, with dark blue ribbons on the front.

- Her initial character profile was uploaded on the official Twitter account on March 8, 2017.
- She looks up to Agnes Tachyon, as Tachyon is her sire in real life.
- On a similar note, Daiwa was originally announced to be voiced by Sumire Uesaka, who later on went to voice Agnes Tachyon.[1]
- Scarlet's phone background is an image of a flower bouquet as a reference to her real-life dam (mother), Scarlet Bouquet.[2]
- In the OVA of Season 1, Scarlet is shown to have acquired an eye injury due to a wood chip hitting her eye, this event occurred in real life during training before her run in the 2008 February Stakes, resulting in a diagnosis of wound keratitis.[3]
- In an in-game event for the Make a New Track scenario titled “Under the Same Umbrella”, Daiwa Scarlet and Eishin Flash are depicted cheering on their underclassmen on a rainy day. This scenario is a reference to the child their real-life counterparts had together, named Umbrella Date.[4]
