Cinderella Gray Anime Introduction

The third Umamusume to win the Triple Crown throughout history. A talented girl with a cheerful personality that exudes a mysterious charisma. She loves the freedom of the racing world, and tends to run in wild and unconventional races.[1]

Appearance

Mr. C.B.'s hair reflects the dichotomy of her character—wild yet elegant. It flows gracefully down her back while her bangs and locks jut out in wild, spiky strands. She has graceful blue eyes, an unruly ahoge up top and three hair clips securing her hair. Lastly, a small but stylish white "CB" hat adorned with a green ribbon sits near her right ear.

Mr. C.B.'s outfit is a bold and incredibly stylish callback to retro fashion. She wears a striking green and yellow bustier, paired with an off-the-shoulder jacket that features an asymmetrical design—one sleeve missing while a single green sleeve with a buckle wrap hangs elegantly from her left arm. A subtle gold choker is also present wrapping her neck. Her pants are high-waisted and flared with floating straps hanging, a very stand out and eye-catching appeal. A big belt hangs on her waist, which features a comically large gold emblem at the center, complemented by smaller golden details along its band. To complete her ensemble, she wears high-heeled Mary Janes. As the oldest Triple Crown recipient in Umamusume, Mr. C.B.’s outfit feels like a loving homage to the popular fashions of the early-to-mid 1900s.

Relationships

  • Katsuragi Ace - Friend/Rival. They both get along and understand each other very well. Ace is one of the very few umamusume who isn't scared to run with C.B., and goes as far as challenging C.B. into Triple Classics duel, resulting in C.B. thinking that Ace is very fun and interesting to race against. Ace never restricted any of C.B.'s unconventional and carefree ways when it comes to running as she values C.B.'s freedom deeply, which can be seen in her defending C.B. when some people are pushing their expectations on C.B. to win the Triple Crown. While C.B. genuinely thinks of Ace as a rival on the get-go, Ace struggled to see C.B. as an equal at first, as she initially thought of C.B. as her role model. This resulted in disappointed and upset C.B., who dislikes that Ace saw her as a wall to overcome rather than seeing her as Mr. C.B. After a confrontation during their Classic Year, they're finally able to see each other on the same level as rivals and equals.
    • IRL: Being in the same 1983 generation, the two raced against each other several times in real life. The role they had on each other's racing career was very significant, and this can be seen on how Mr. C.B.'s name is written on the epitaph of real life Katsuragi Ace's gravestone, which reads: "I remembered your performance at that Japan Cup. I was moved by what you did in that Japan Cup. I wish to see you race against Mr. C.B. again."[2] The said epitaph sentence was also referenced in the happy ending of Katsuragi Ace's career story.
  • Symboli Rudolf - Rival.
    • IRL: They raced against each other a few times all while bearing the triple crown title, with Mr C.B. holding the 1983 Triple Crown and Symboli Rudolf the 1984 Triple Crown.
  • Daiichi Ruby - Underclassman. C.B.—along with Ace, sometimes—gives out training advices to Ruby, more often than not.
    • IRL: Both were sired by Tosho Boy.

Trivia

  • She was announced during the PakaLive TV Vol.4 stream on February 23, 2021.
  • One episode in Season 2 shows her in black hair.
  • In her career story's introduction event, the trainer remembers a certain Umamusume before C.B.'s time that not only won 15 times in 19 races, but won the Triple Crown as well. This Umamusume is a reference to the real life horse Shinzan, who became the second Japanese Triple Crown winner in 1964.
