Umamusume Cinderella Gray (ウマ娘 シンデレラグレイ, Umamusume Shinderera Gurei) is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name, a story featuring Oguri Cap as the main character. It is produced by CyPic (formerly known as CygamesPictures) and directed by Yuuki Itou and Takehiro Miura, it started airing on April 2025 and ended in December 2025. It is the second anime in the Umamusume series.

Summary

In the desolate training school of Kasamatsu, an Umamusume appears. Her name, Oguri Cap.
Her overwhelming running style overturns all common sense.
Eventually, the gray-haired girl, known as the "monster", will carve a new legend.
The Cinderella story of her running is finally here![1]

Umamusume: Cinderella Gray won Best Anime and Favorite Drama awards on both Spring and Autumn awards in 2025. It would also go on and win the following awards in the 2025 Anime Trending Awards:

Trivia

  • Cinderella Gray marks the first time that the Opening hasn't been sung by any of the Umamusume.
    • Instead, for the 1st cour, it's played by Japanese rock band Alexandros, known for the theme of the live-action film adaptation of Bleach, and the theme for the videogame Judgment from the Yakuza series.
      • During Pakatube livestream on April 2025[2], the vocalist Shirai Masaki mentions that he thought that they were going to make something similar to Umapyoi Densetsu, but was then disappointed when told they are going to make their usual song.
    • For the 2nd cour, it's played by another Japanese rock band 10-FEET. They are known for performing the insert song for The First Slam Dunk movie.
  • Cinderella Gray adapted the "cour" format, with the 1st cour consisting of 13 episodes spanning from April to June, and the 2nd cour with 10 episodes spanning from October to December, totaling 23 episodes overall. This is the first time an Umamusume anime series adapted such format.
  • Cinderella Gray also marks the second time Umapyoi Densetsu was not played at the end of its final episode for an anime adaptation.
