Norn Ace is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, featured in the Cinderella Gray manga and anime.

Biography

Cinderella Gray Anime Introduction

An Umamusume famous in her hometown of Kasamatsu. She's Oguri Cap's roommate at Kasamatsu Tracen, and doesn't care for Oguri due to the way she stands out in class. Due to this distaste, her and her friends, Rudy Lemono and Mini the Lady, bully Oguri.

Personality

Norn Ace appears as level-headed, confident, and manipulative, though it's quickly revealed that she is deeply insecure and bullies Oguri Cap out of jealousy. She doesn't see a point in getting dirty, and believes trying hard is embarassing. Norn, Mini, and Rudy all often ditch practice. After being defeated by Oguri, Norn opens up more to the people around her and shows a much softer side, especially to Oguri.

Her parents own a dance studio.

Relationships

• Oguri Cap - Rival, roommate, and eventual friend. Norn starts off bullying Oguri; kicking her out of their room, mocking her, and letting Mini and Rudy harass her. Oguri doesn't pick up on Norn's attempts to intimidate her, which only serves to infuriate Norn further. After defeating Norn, Oguri apologizes earnestly for kicking sand in Norn's face, to which Norn hesitantly says it's no problem. During Oguri's winning concert, Norn calls her dance cringe but smiles to herself. She later offers to give Oguri dance classes, and can be seen giving Oguri moves to mirror at her next concert. She proudly tears up at both of them working hard. Later, she buys a plush of Oguri and holds it close to her with a smile.
• Belno Light - Classmate and eventual friend. Their first interaction is Belno standing up for Oguri. Later, as Norn starts to accept Oguri, she becomes closer to Belno as well. They both help Oguri move from Kasamatsu Dorm to Ritto Dorm.
• Fujimasa March - Classmate and friend. Norn, Mini, and Rudy are often shown cheering for March.
• Hiyori Kawamura - Trainer. They have an antagonistic relationship, as Norn doesn't see a point to practicing and frequently ditches. Hiyori often chases after Norn, Mini, and Rudy whenever she can find them.
• Mini the Lady - Classmate and close friend. They're often seen together, alongside Rudy. Mini comes up with the plan for Norn to stomp on Oguri's foot, and later questions her for failing to do it. She also teases Norn for being embarassed about giving Oguri dance lesson tickets, and later about Oguri being her type. When Norn calls Mini and Rudy out for not apologizing to Oguri, Mini cheekily pretends she hasn't done anything.
• Rudy Lemono - Classmate and close friend. They're often seen together, alongside Mini. The two seem to have a somewhat abrasive friendship due to both having strong personalities. Rudy expresses exasperation at Norn using her handkerchief, and acts weirded out when Norn gets an Oguri plush. Though they often nitpick each other's actions and behavior, they remain close friends.
