"In the face of the Twinkle Series' crisis, the 'legendary' Umamusume step up!
Everyone in the races will unite as one to popularize the Twinkle Series once again— and into the future!"
The Twinkle Legends is a scenario playable in the Umamusume: Pretty Derby (mobile game). It was added as the 10th permanent scenario in the game on February 24, 2025.
Story
The Twinkle Series is starting, and the player's contracted Umamusume is about to debut... but Umamusume racing is now more unpopular than it's ever been.
Has the racing boom ended? In order to combat this crisis, chairman Yayoi Akikawa has enlisted the help of three legendary Umamusume that marked their names in history: Haiseiko, St. Lite and Speed Symboli.
The three announce the "Dream Fest", an all-star race aiming to draw attention to the Twinkle Series.
Speed Symboli suggests they could use a popular and talented Umamusume as an ambassador to promote the Dream Fest.
And so, a new training session begins...
Mechanics
Scenario gameplay revolves around the collection of Guidance and Knowledge.
Each turn, one of three random Guidances will be applied to each action and stat training option. Guidances are blue, green, or pink corresponding to Saint Lite, Haiseiko, and Speed Symboli, respectively. After selecting an action for the turn, the Affinity Gauge of the corresponding color will be incremented. Friendship training increments the Affinity Gauge by 3.
Every six turns, the player selects a Knowledge, a passive effect, from a randomly generated set to acquire for the remainder of the run. The particular Knowledges generated are dependent on the completion of each Affinity Gauge.
The scenario is successfully completed after finishing each of the Dream Fest races.

Knowledge
Every 6 turns, the player has the option to select a piece of Knowledge (心得 kokoroe) from a randomly generated pool to improve training. Knowledges are separated by three colors, one for each Legend.
Knowledges are separated into three tiers:
- 1☆ 'normal' tier, consisting of 4 Knowledges per Legend. 3/4 effects are the same across Legends
- 2☆ 'gold' tier, consisting of 6 Knowledges per Legend. Unlocked after learning 2 Knowledges
- 3☆ 'rainbow' tier, consisting of 9 Knowledges per Legend. Unlocked after learning 4 Knowledges
The Knowledges made available to select in the pool are determined by the state of each Legend's Affinity Gauge. The higher the Legend's Affinity, the higher the tier of the options made available will be.
Each Affinity Gauge can be incremented a maximum of 8 times. One, two, or three Knowledges from the Legend can be made available in the pool at two, four, and eight gauge levels respectively.
List of Knowledge
Guidance
Guidance (導き michibiki) is a powerful training effect acquired at the beginning of the summer of Classic Year. Each of the three Legends has a unique Guidance mechanic.
The Guidance activated corresponds to the Legends from which the most Knowledge has been collected. If there is a tie, the Guidance will be selected at random from the tying categories.
St Lite
When the trainee Umamusume's motivation increases 3 times, the special motivation level 'SUPER GREAT' (超絶好調) is activated for 3 turns.

For as long as 'SUPER GREAT' is active:
- All training effects increase
- The motivation training multiplier increases
- Motivation cannot decrease
- If motivation is raised, the duration of the effect increases by 1 turn. The duration can be extended for a maximum 2 turns.
Speed Symboli
The Challenger Zone (挑戦ゾーン) is activated after 4 successful training turns.
For as long as the Challenger Zone is active:
- Training cannot be failed
- All training effects increase
The Challenger Zone ends if any of the following conditions occur:
- Using the Rest facility
- Using the Recreation facility
- For each consecutive training while the Challenger Zone is active, the chance the Zone ends on the following training increases
Entering a race increases the active turn count but won't increase the chance of the Challenger Zone ending.
When the Challenger Zone ends, a stat bonus is acquired based on the number of turns the Zone was active.
| Turn Ended | If Ended With Training | If Ended With Rest Or Recreation |
|---|---|---|
| 1-4 | +5 to all base stats | +5 to all base stats |
| 5 | +5 to all base stats | +15 to all base stats +30 Skill Points |
| 6 | +5 to all base stats | +25 to all base stats +40 Skill Points |
| 7 | +35 to all base stats +50 Skill Points |
+35 to all base stats +50 Skill Points |
Haiseiko
Haiseiko's Guidance provides the player 5 additional support Umamusume (1 per base stat) and activates the Best Friend (親友) Gauge for each support. The Best Friend Gauge is increased by training with support Umamusume, similar to the bond gauge. Haiseiko's Guidance is always active.
The Best Friend Gauge can be filled once with 20 bond points. When the Gauge is full, the corresponding support is guaranteed to provide friendship training. After friendship training is successfully completed, the Gauge level is raised by one and the Gauge resets to empty. Increasing the Gauge level and the training bonus provided by the associated support Umamusume. If the Gauge is raised to the maximum level 7, the Gauge remains full and the corresponding support will always provide friendship training.
Scenario Races

There are three special races that take place during the scenario: Dream Fest Stella, Dream Fest Pride, and Dream Fest Legend. Each takes place at the end of each in-game year: junior, classic, and senior, respectively.
Each of the races can occur in one of five variations: short, mile, classic, long, and dirt. The specific variation that takes place is selected based on the race type that has occurred most during the run. The race variation selected can change between Stella, Pride, and Legend.
