Duramente is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Biography
"......Duramente. My goal is not victory, but to become the "strongest"...... Or much more than that."
The most powerful blood flows through her body. The product of a prestigious family.
An elite Umamusume with a promising future, born from a prestigious family known for producing many excellent athletic Umamusume. She is usually quite serious and stoic, but when a race is in front of her, her fighting spirit takes over and she shows her wild side. She has been close friends with Air Groove from a very young age.

Appearance
A descendant of excellence, her eyes are a piercing blue, enhanced by a subtle shade of violet. Her hairstyle is long, flowing, thick and layered. The color transitions seamlessly from a deep, dark brown at the top to a lighter chocolate brown as it extends to her waist. Small tufts flick outward and an ahoge sprouts atop her head. A unique small ponytail that resembles more of a birds crest rests at the back. The most distinguishing feature of her hair is the bold white blaze streak centered prominently at the top. On her ear, a gold chain attaches, adorned with a gem resembling the color of her eyes and three golden accents shaped like feathers or wings.
Duramente's outfit is far more intricate than it may initially seem. While its militaristic style and commanding intensity reflect her name, the design carries a layered elegance inspired by majestic birds. The top is divided into 4 parts.
- The first is a sleek, form-fitting grey dress with a flat texture. It hugs her body, featuring straps across her chest and waist, and extends into a straight skirt.
- A black underlayer, separate from her dress and reaches below her skirt.
- Glossy black sleeves, which contrast sharply to the dress with its shinier texture. It looks like a cropped jacket when seen from the back. The sleeves are adorned with thick gold decals and baroque arches. A small white layer flares out at the cuffs, which could resemble feathers. Her right shoulder, without mistake, is adorned by black and white feathers.
- The final piece is the extended dress, strapped to her waist. At first glance, it appears to be a continuation of the skirt, but its flowing, layered design mimics the tail feathers of a majestic bird.
Adding to the outfit, her left thigh is adorned with an ornate gold wrap featuring an assortment of patterns. Her boots are asymmetrical in height and color—one black, the other white—both accented with intricate gold detailing, seamlessly laced all around.

- IRL, Duramente and Kitasan Black faced off three times: the Satsuki Sho, the Japanese Derby and the Takarazuka Kinen. In all three races, Duramente always beat or placed higher than Kitasan Black.
- Satono Crown - Roommate.
- Vivlos - Friend. They discuss lunch options, and Duramente always gives her nutritional ideas. Vivlos also teaches Duramente how to be "cute".
- Admire Groove - Friend and upperclassman. Admiring her strength, she gets taken under her wing. Meanwhile, Admire Groove feels oddly familiar when around Duramente, and watches her races in support.
- IRL, Admire Groove is the dam of Duramente.

Trivia
- Appearing for the first time in Season 3 during episode 1 of the anime, airing on October 4, 2023, she didn't speak for the first 5 episodes, and only breathed.
- Her seiyuu, Akina, actually called it "very difficult" to express Duramente's personality with just breathing. [1]
- Duramente's stand-in mob, Brusquement, is currently still in Kitasan Black's Career mode, and was never replaced with Duramente herself as of now.
- Character Design Notes from Umamusume: Pretty Derby Artworks Vol. 04:
- As the motif horse was a grandson of Air Groove, the race outfit shares feathers as an element between Air Groove and Duramente.
- The motif horse has a silk of black base, red cross, and vertical yellow stripes on the arms, which are concentrated in her upper half to be easily recognizable.
- As the Umamusume is committed to being "the strongest", to give her an impression of strength and pride to her character, gold is used across her outfit.
