Admire Groove is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Biography
"Please stop... You keep sticking your nose into my business on a whim..."
An elite Umamusume who has shown exceptional talent from childhood, lauded as a prodigy. Telling herself such things as "Making friends is unnecessary" and "What others say about you is nothing more than noise", she continues to stoically refine her conduct, standing proudly like a lone flower. And yet, it seems as though she hides a different desire behind that frigid beauty...?

Appearance
Admire Groove's hair cut is a ocean blue bob, with the lower half of her hair fading into a light dull navy blue. She wears a black headband, with her bangs starting from it. The left side of her forehead is exposed as there's no bangs, although one bang on the far left bends and sticks out of her face on the left side. The middle of her bangs are white, and the right side of her bangs are ocean blue. With her bangs reaching down to above her eye, two long light navy blue strands of hair frame her face as they reach down to her chest, with a white line going through her right strand of hair. A blue braid is on the right side of her head that goes around the side and ends at the back of her hair.
She has heterochromia, her left eye is a light purple, and her right eye is a ocean blue. With both eyes being a light pink in the bottom. And a black mole is below her bottom lip on the left side of her mouth.
A small dark navy blue fluffy pom pom accessory is on the back right side of her hair, with a navy blue ribbon coming out of it.
Her horse ears are covered by a bright blue ear cover, with a gold band going around the base of her left horse ear, with a dark navy blue bow attached to the side of the golden band. And her horse tail is a ocean blue, with the tip of her horse tail fading to a dull light navy blue.
Her racing outfit consists of a dress with a black semi-transparent lace collar with a floral pattern that covers her shoulders, upper arms, and extends over her back. The collar is fastened with a small red tie at the neck. The black lace ends before the elbow with feather-like edges. Fitted black sleeves start at her elbow and extend to the wrists. The bodice consists of a turquoise bust and a dark blue corset-like section below the bust, extending down to the top of her dark blue shorts. An asymmetrical skirt that is light turquoise with ruffles, at the left side of her hips extends down to her knees. The sleeves at her arms have scalloped edges near the elbow and are decorated with gold stars and vertical gold lines. She wears dark semi-transparent stockings with garter straps attacked to her shorts, and her stockings are decorated with two blue arrow-like pattern on her right and gold diamond-shaped accents above the ankles. Her shoes are white with chunky heels, with red soles, and gold trim. Her outfit completes with a long blue shoulder sash with gold-trimmed ends drapes from her right shoulder.

- Air Groove - A reliable senior and mentor. Air Groove watches out for Admire Groove and often worries for her wellbeing, making sure that she's alright. She shows great care for Admire Groove, despite Admire Groove's cold and withdrawn demeanor.
- IRL, Admire Groove was foaled by Air Groove.[1]
- Still in Love - Rival. Still in Love's "alter ego" is especially fired up about racing with her, going as far as to chase after her and call her "her prey." The two are shown to be opposites; while Still in Love is full of warmth and love, Admire Groove rejects love and mentions being "cold" inside. Despite Admire Groove being the favorite in all three Triple Tiara races, it's Still in Love who wins them. Admire Groove is visibly upset about losing to Still in Love, which makes Still in Love wonder why Admire Groove dislikes her so much. Still in Love seems to respect Admire Groove a lot, especially after witnessing how many people cheer her on and root for her.
- They are 2 prolific rivals throughout the 2003 Classic Season, and across their careers, they raced each other 9 times.
- Red Desire - Roommate. Admire Groove gets annoyed when Red Desire prays for her before they go to sleep. Despite Admire Groove's personality, Red Desire believes that she's a nice girl deep down.
- Duramente - Friend and underclassman. Admiring her strength, Duramente gets taken under her wing. Meanwhile, Admire Groove feels oddly familiar when around Duramente, and watches her races in support.
- IRL, Admire Groove is the dam of Duramente.
- Sweep Tosho - Underclassman and rival. Sweep wants to challenge Admire Groove, while Admire Groove is unbothered by her.
- In real life, Sweep Tosho and Admire Groove competed with each a few times, such as in the 2004 Queen Elizabeth II Cup and the 2005 Takarazuka Kinen.
- Zenno Rob Roy - Classmate. Rob Roy admires the assertive behavior of Admire Groove, despite also being concerned over her cold demeanor.[2]
- Neo Universe - Classmate. Neo Universe notices that despite Admire Groove's behavior, she's actually really perceptive of other people, like how she notices Still. She also shows great concern for her, as her universal knowledge of her past as a horse lets her understand what Admire Groove is going through.
- In real life, Admire Groove, Zenno Rob Roy, and Neo Universe were a part of the 2003 generation.

Trivia
- She was announced during the PakaLive TV Vol.56 stream on August 22nd, 2025.
- In the game, other characters call her "Aruvu" (アルヴ), similarly to Admire Vega's nickname "Ayabe". Like Admire Vega, Admire Groove had different nicknames in real life, like "Adoguru" (アドグル) by fans and "Gurumi" (グル美) by her stablehands.
- In Still in Love's career, it's revealed that Admire Groove grew up in an orphanage and has no memory of her parents.
- Her unique skill animation features the same flower garden from Still in Love's unique skill animation, further cementing their rivalry.
- During her career mode, an event in her senior year shows her suddenly collapsing as she tries attend Duramente's race. She feels as though something is compelling her not to go.[3]
- This is a reference to how Admire Groove died shortly after having Duramente in real life.
- She is very good at first aid.[4]
- Her favorite story is The Snow Queen, a Danish fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen. This story is the inspiration for her racewear.[5]
