Make a legend! Aiming to be the strongest from a peculiar perspective.

A smart Umamusume that excels at working independently. In order to become the "strongest" Umamusume, winning over people's hearts, she diligently studies how to appeal to fans in addition to her racing. In front of fans, she acts hardworking, but does not let that character show for others. She is truly a demon of self-production.

Appearance

Royce and Royce has long brown hair, tied into a bun at the back of her head, and decorated with braids. Underneath this bun, she wears a diagonally-striped bow, colored purple and dark purple. The first layer of her side bangs are cut bluntly, and she has two long strands of hair falling past her shoulders on either side. She has a purple ear cover on her right ear, accompanied by a golden ear clip, with a golden diamond linked to it. She wears green over-rim glasses, and has de-saturated red eyes.

Her racing uniform consists of a multi-colored and multi-layered outfit. A reddish-orange jacket with white puffed sleeves and black cuffs is worn over a white button-up top. She wears a yellow layered half-skirt with a purple interior seen in the ruffles. Underneath this is a white pencil skirt, with purple "X" shaped laces on either side, and teal slits in the front. On the right side of her waist, she has a teal piece of fabric attached to a black belt. She also wears black tights, and black heeled boots with gold accents.

Relationships

  • Nice Nature, Twin Turbo, Matikanetannhauser, Ikuno Dictus, Sounds of Earth - Teammates on the anime-only team, Team Canopus.
    • Royce is very supportive of Ikuno as a racer, and wants to have a fandom the way she does one day. She also makes fans to support her at races.
    • Royce views Nature as a potential idol considering her traits. They both get along well as they both admire Tokai Teio, yet want to defeat her one day.
  • Shinko Windy - Friend and roommate. Royce makes note of Windy's charms and quirks, and learns them to her advantage. Meanwhile, Windy gets intimidated when Royce imitates her mannerisms, like when she roars. However, Windy struggles to sleep in her dorm room if Royce isn't around, showing a bond between the friends. Windy also bites Royce when she's asleep.
  • Biwa Hayahide - Friend and rival. Royce views Hayahide as a strong and popular racer, and wants to surpass. She even goes so far as to temporarily remove her glasses while training, as she doesn't want her and Hayahide to "overlap" in traits. She also finds Hayahide's friendship with Winning Ticket and Narita Taishin interesting as their personalities mesh according to her. Both Hayahide and Royce get along quite well, as they are both data analysts and bond over how glasses can be a struggle while racing.
    • In real life, Royce and Royce and Biwa Hayahide have competed with each other numerous times, such as the 1993 Kikuka Sho and 1994 Sankei Sho All Comers (G3). Biwa Hayahide won both of these races.
  • North Flight - Friend. Flight helps Royce out with fashion from time to time, which aids Royce in finding new character appeals for fanservice.
  • Sakura Chitose O - Friend. Chitose O gives medical advice to Royce, and helps her maintain a healthy and nutritional diet as Royce is a late bloomer.

  • Her name was teased and redacted in the first few episodes of Season 3, but her name was officially announced on December 19, 2023.
    • Before her name was revealed, only a ス(su) suffix was shown beside her in the anime. This lead to fans calling her "Su-chan" before her name reveal.
      • This nickname is also referenced in the game, where in the homescreen, Royce and Royce wonders if she should go by the nickname "Su-chan".
  • All titles for her character story referenced various Rolls-Royce models:
    • Chapter 1 - Phantom
    • Chapter 2 - Silver Shadow
    • Chapter 3 - Corniche
