JRA Portrait of the Bucephalus[1]

Narita Taishin was a Japanese racehorse that was active from 1992 to 1995. He shares a split of the 1993 Classic Triple Crown with Winning Ticket and Biwa Hayahide. Collectively, the trio were nicknamed BNW. Taishin had amazing acceleration at the homestretch, but also had delicate health.

Name Origin

"Narita" is the crown name of owner Hidenori Yamaji, taken from a Buddist Temple (Narita-san Osaka branch) near his home in Osaka[2]. "Taishin" is taken from his Dam's name, Taishin Lily.
