God Hannibal is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, featured in the Cinderella Gray manga and Cinderella Gray anime.
Biography
A mysterious, clumsy senior.
God Hannibal is a senior trainee of Ginjirou Musaka at Tracen Academy and an experienced G1 Racer.[1] She is often portrayed as detached and absent-minded, and her thoughts and behavior rarely make complete sense to others. God Hannibal is also clumsy, getting lost often, losing track of things,[2] and getting stuck in the Tracen Academy stump on multiple occasions.[3] However, she is still able to appear quietly and suddenly, startling characters like Belno Light.[2][4]
In contrast to her mysterious and aloof demeanor, God Hannibal has a playful and childishly whimsical side. She reports to Musaka that she will be hunting for kaiju with a bug net.[5] She also has a sweet tooth, frequently carrying and eating ice cream and other sweets.[2][4]
She was supposed to participate in parallel run training with Oguri Cap, Meikun Tsukasa and Kraft Univer under the watch of Ginjirou Musaka, and Belno Light to prepare Oguri Cap for her showdown against Black Ale at the Pegasus Stakes, however, she mistook her jersey for a tub of ice cream and brought the ice cream instead, much to her teammates' confusion. As a result, she had to watch from the sidelines with Belno Light and Ginjirou Musaka instead.[1]

God Hannibal usually has a vacant expression that rarely changes.
Relationships
- Meikun Tsukasa - Teammate and friend.[1] They are often depicted together. She usually has to help God Hannibal out of the stump when the latter gets stuck.
- Kraft Univer - Teammate and friend.[1] They are often depicted together. She usually has to help God Hannibal out of the stump when the latter gets stuck.
- Ginjirou Musaka - Trainer.[1] She places a lot of faith and confidence in Musaka, believing that he would always prioritize what is best for his trainees.[4] Sometimes when she gets lost, she texts Musaka for help, who tries to stay patient with her.[6]
- Oguri Cap - Junior teammate. God Hannibal and the other seniors partner train with her throughout the story.
- Belno Light - Junior teammate.
- Mr. CB - Friend. Although their relationship is not elaborated on in the main story, God Hannibal and Mr. CB are on good terms with each other. In a post-chapter sketch, God Hannibal gives Mr. CB a popsicle when they run into each other.[7]

- Like the other senior members of Musaka's team, God Hannibal's name is derived from real horses that were trained by Musaka's real-life counterpart, Tsutomu Setoguchi. In God Hannibal's case, her name is derived from Godspeed and Maruka Hannibal.
- Godspeed won the JRA Award for Best Steeplechase Horse in 1999[8].[9]
- Maruka Hannibal's sire is Special Week.[10]
