"The Breeders' Cup–
In order to win the world's largest G1 festival, the URA launches a major project, "DREAMS".
The days of challenge for those who aim for the pinnacle of glory with their dreams in mind begins now!"
Beyond Dreams: Together Forward, Together into the Light (Beyond Dreams: 共に前へ、共に光を, Beyond Dreams: Tomoni mae e, Tomoni Hikari o) is a scenario playable in Umamusume: Pretty Derby (mobile game). It was added as the 13th permanent scenario in the game on February 24, 2026.
It is the second scenario centered on a race or race series outside of Japan following Project L'Arc, which is centered on the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. In this case, the focus is on the Breeders' Cup (full name: Breeders' Cup World Championships) in the United States, with the scenario following a team's entry into Casino Drive's DREAMS project. The Breeders' Cup in-universe also uses an Umamusume version of its horse head logo while its trademark styled name also appears.

Target Race Selection
At the start of the career, you select one of nine actual Breeders' Cup races as a target. You are also recommended races out of those nine depending on your trainee's surface and distance aptitudes. Once a target race is picked, you will be given specific goal races with matching or similar surface and distance, including a Junior Make Debut Race, in order to enter the Breeders' Cup in Senior Year Early November, where the scenario ends. Each target Breeders' Cup race also has a rare Skill associated with it.

- 1 2000m at Santa Anita and 2200m at Del Mar. This is a real-life rule for the race – if a host track has configurations for both distances (and Santa Anita is one of the three that do), then it is run over 2000m.
- 2 This offers at least one race on both turf and dirt for every distance classification except long. In real life, the 2800m Marathon was removed from the program in 2014.
Team Members and Rank
Three Scenario Link characters (see below) besides Casino Drive (and your trainee potentially) are chosen as teammates in the DREAMS project. If in the Support Card deck, then they are much more likely to be team members.
Each starts at G Rank and can go up to US Rank. Each also has a Dream Gauge with three segments that is filled thus:
- 1 segment is filled each time Training is done with that character.
- After resting, recreation, an infirmary visit or an objective race, a random team member has 1 segment filled.
- A random team member has 1 segment filled at the start of each turn during summer camps.
Training with a team member whose Dream Gauge is filled has the following effects:
- Increases the Team Member's Rank and resets/empties her Dream Gauge.
- Grants 30% Training Effectiveness in addition to her current bonus from Rank (see below).
- Awards Dreams Points to upgrade DREAMS Training.
Member Ranks have the following effects:
- Determining additional Training Effectiveness from training with that character, from 10% at G to 30% at UF.
- The rank of the lowest-ranked Team Member is also the Team Rank. Similarly to the Unity Cup, this must be raised, but instead of team races, there are Reflections every 6 months beginning with the Junior Make Debut, followed by Strategy Meetings where DREAMS Training may be upgraded. Each Reflection has a mark to be met for it to be Excellent and give the best results possible.
| Reflection | Date | Mark |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | After Junior Make Debut | F |
| 2 | Junior Year Late December | E |
| 3 | Classic Year Late June | C |
| 4 | Classic Year Late December | B |
| 5 | Senior Year Late June | A |
An Excellent Reflection has the following effects:
- Increases stats and Skill Points.
- Grants hints randomly from Support Card deck as if 4 hints were triggered.
- Replenishes 15 Energy and increases Mood by one level.
- Awards Dreams Points (up to 5 with
SSR [American Dream] Casino Drive). - A successful 4th Reflection also gives a hint for

Increase velocity in the last spurt..
Upon reaching the Breeders' Cup, results for each Team Member will also be shown. Note that depending on the target race chosen, a teammate may also be an opponent (for example, Forever Young if the Classic is the target race).
DREAMS Training
Similar to Overdrive in Hashire! Meka Umamusume, there is a one-turn training boost that can be used on demand when available called DREAMS Training. Unlike Overdrive, though, which charges when the Overdrive Gauge is energized 3 times, charges are replenished on Turn 3 and after each Strategy Meeting (to 2 except for the 5th Reflection, which replenishes 4 charges – the only time more than 2 charges are possible).
Tazuna's Tip
Tazuna's TipThis is unofficial advice!
Notice that up to 5 of your Support Cards that are not Friend or Group Type appear in each training facility during DREAMS Training. This means that you can guarantee which Support Cards appear in every facility when it is triggered if you have a Friend or Group such as Casino Drive. This also matters because some Team Parameter effects for DREAMS Training, as we will see, require at least 5 different types of Support Cards in the deck.
DREAMS Training has the following effects:
- All 3 Team Members and up to 5 Support Cards from your deck (excluding Friend/Group cards) appear in every training facility.
- Sub-stat gains are decreased by 90%. Note that this is the starting value – this can be increased again by increasing the team's Physical Team Parameter as shown below. As a recap, sub-stats are the stats that are increased in addition to the primary stat for each Training:
- Speed Training – Power
- Stamina Training – Guts
- Power Training – Stamina
- Guts Training – Speed and Power
- Wisdom Training – Speed
After each Reflection, there is a Strategy Meeting where DREAMS Training can be upgraded by increasing three available Team Parameters. Each upgrade costs 5 Dreams Points (DP), with no re-spec or reallocation available during a career once the upgrades are confirmed. Some upgrades are also only available beginning with the Classic and Senior Years. These upgrades are as follows:

Trivia
- Similarly to Project L'Arc, each Scenario Link character's real-life counterpart has competed in the Breeders' Cup.
- Santa Anita and Del Mar are the two venues in California that have been in the hosting rotation since 2008, and Santa Anita has also hosted more editions of the Breeders' Cup than any other track.
- The other venues in the hosting rotation are both in Kentucky: Churchill Downs (the venue of the Kentucky Derby) in Louisville and Keeneland in Lexington. However, Belmont Park in Belmont, New York (the venue of the Belmont Stakes) is scheduled to host the 2027 edition.
- Following the PakaLive 5th Anniversary broadcast, the Breeders' Cup both quote retweeted the event primer that aired during it which Miyu Kubota (Loves Only You) narrated and posted it on their own official YouTube channel. They expressed their pride at being in the Japanese version of the game via this scenario.
- The first Japanese horse to enter a Breeders' Cup race was Taiki Blizzard in the Classic in 1996 at Woodbine in Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which was also the first and as of now only year the event was held outside the United States.
- Cygames became a Breeders' Cup sponsor in 2024, sponsoring the Sprint.
