Air Messiah is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Biography
“Steadfast and sure, albeit simple... that's what my strength means.”
Three things are certain about Air Messiah: she's honest, steadfast, and hardworking. She wants to break out of her shell and overcome her insecurities, challenging herself to try new things, but she always tends to stay a small presence. Her mother finished within the top three of her Triple Tiara races, but never won any of them. Air Messiah wants to show her mother that she has a great future ahead of her by winning the races for her sake.

Appearance
Air Messiah has a light olive green hair and tail. Her slightly wavy hair is sharply cut off at the shoulders, as if it had been freshly cut. Air Messiah's bangs are loosely parted to the right and held in place by an intricate blue and gold brooch, exposing most of her forehead and face. On her left ear, she wears a dark blue band with gold trim and a teal blue frill on the top. Two white pom-poms hang low off of the front of the band. She also wears orange rounded glasses over her soft purple eyes.
She wears a dress reminiscent of an Italian folk dress, with pale green frills for both the sleeves and the skirt of the dress. The collar has a white 'Innocence' flower at its center. Over the dress, she wears a yellow frilled top with yellow sleeves that flow along the sleeves of her dress. Underneath the yellow top is a navy blue tank top that is split down the center. It drapes over the skirt, and has two teal blue ribbons tied at the bottom. She wears black above-the-knee leggings with rounded holes cut-outs at the tops. Her shoes are black ankle boots with teal blue inner fabric, and two pom-poms in the center.

- Rhein Kraft - Friend and rival. Rhein Kraft taught her how to sew, and Kraft also teaches her about good sunbathing spots.
- Cesario - Friend and rival.
- Daring Heart - Friend and rival.
- Vivlos - Roommate. They get along well, though Vivlos calls Messiah "Mecchan-senpai", much to the latter's dismay.
- Air Shakur - Friend and upperclassman. Shakur helps calculates Messiah's race results in the future, and Messiah looks up to her. Despite Shakur's usual harsh and blunt attitude, she has respect for Messiah. Messiah also likes Shakur's music taste.
- In real life, Air Shakur is her uncle.
- Jungle Pocket - Friend. They get along well, despite their clashing personalities.
- In real life, they both had a foal together in 2010, a filly named Air Muscat.
- Air Groove - Friend and upperclassman. Messiah looks up to her as a strong racer, especially since she won the Japanese Oaks.

- She likes chocolate sauce on French fries.
- When she was little, she used to leave sweets by her bedside for Santa because she felt bad for him.
- She likes to read manga in her free time.
- She has an older brother that studies in South Korea.
- This is a reference to her IRL full brother Air Shady, who was sent to South Korea after his racing career.
- In her career story, Messiah interacts with an NPC Umamusume titled "Umamusume with a blue hairpin" who looks up to her.[1]
- This Umamusume is a reference to the horse Air Spinel, who is Air Messiah's foal in real life.
