Gifu Umamusume Kasamatsu Training Center Academy (岐阜ウマ娘カサマツ トレーニングセンター学園), often referred to informally as "Kasamatsu Tracen" or simply "Kasamatsu" is a regional training institution for Umamusume located in Gifu Prefecture. It serves as the primary setting for the first arc of the Cinderella Gray (Manga) and Cinderella Gray (Anime). Kasamatsu is a "Local" league facility, and is best known as the starting point of the legendary "Gray Monster," Oguri Cap.
Overview
Nestled in the rural landscape of Gifu Prefecture, Kasamatsu is depicted as the antithesis of the Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges (or Tracen Academy) in Tokyo. While Tracen is portrayed as a prestigious campus accommodating for the cream of the crop, Kasamatsu has a grittier down to earth atmosphere. The facilities in Kasamatsu are older and the budget is tighter. The school features just a deep sand (dirt) track, that Umamusume would kick up dust clouds in during races. It is also here that Oguri Cap first displayed her "gray monster" potential, winning most of her races on that very track.
Daily Life
Standard compulsory education curriculum and facilities that most other schools would have are provided. Things such as the dormitories, though clearly a step-down and more communal than the Ritto and Miho dorms seen in Tracen have been depicted.
Outside of school, the town features a few notable locations. Minato park, where many go to spend their time at, features a riverbank that runs along the Kiso river. Notably, Oguri Cap is seen doing her training and morning runs here. Mt. Kinka has also been seen in the series. Its observatory is located on the slopes of the mountain, it is here at the scenic overlook where Fujimasa March famously confronted Oguri Cap about her motivations for running and is the central landmark and symbol of Gifu City. For the townsfolk, there's a handy two-story retail mall in Kasamatsu where they can shop and unwind as well.
