K.S.Miracle is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. She is one of the protagonists of the stage play Umamusume Pretty Derby: Sprinters' Story alongside Daitaku Helios, Daiichi Ruby, and Yamanin Zephyr.

Biography

"I am... K.S.Miracle. I will repay everyone who gave me this life... I'll definitely show you a miracle."

A miraculous sign of gratitude. A kind and gentle Umamusume.

She's a kind-hearted Umamusume, with a calm and refreshing personality. She has a strong desire to "pay back those who saved her", perhaps from her experience of miraculously surviving two near-death experiences in the past. Despite her gentle attitude, she's willing to put her body on the line when it comes to racing. Because of everyone that has supported her, she's prepared to give everything she has everyday.

Likes Finding Directions, Playing Music by Ear
Dislikes Food that's too heavily seasoned, the sound of sirens
Ears Shakes a little when she hears laughter.
Tail Has the scent of soap.
Family Becomes a little bit more talkative when talking to her parents.
Personal Rule I return the things I borrow cleaner than when I receive them.
Phone Background A portrait from the hospital children.
Before a Race... Never leave the waiting room without saying "Thank You."
Secrets Many of her possessions have swan motifs, due to her favorite picture book.
She talks loudly in her sleep.

Appearance

K.S.Miracle has short light blue hair partially veiling her left eye. On the right side, a single long strand falls sharply, it is adorned with a metallic blue ornament accented with gold trims. Her royal blue eyes are somewhat narrow. Yellow coverings wrap around her ears, while her left ear bears the same metallic blue embellishments as seen on her hair.

K.S.Miracle's racing outfit is a long, dark blue gentleman’s jacket that fades into a soft light blue at the hem with sky-blue interiors. Gold trims line the hems, while golden straps wrap around her arms. Light blue stripes trace the length of her sleeves, and the cuffs match the metallic blue of the ornaments on her ear and hair. Beneath the jacket, she wears a fitted deep blue shirt adorned with a delicate jewelry piece that clasps a white bow at the center of her chest. The jacket is fastened at the front by two elegant gold links. A high-waisted white strap, cinched with a gold belt, sits between her shirt and her sleek, fitted black pants. More gold straps wrap her left thigh. The pant legs taper into blue cuffs with gold trims at the hem. Her footwear is asymmetrical; on the right, she wears a pair of standard blue racing heels, but on the left, her heels envelop her entire pant leg.

Relationships

  • Daiichi Ruby - Roommate, friend and rival. They message and call often on "LANE". Her method of dealing with Miracle's stubborness is a bit more "strict" than Miracle's other friends, but Ruby seems to understand Miracle the most because of their very similiar past.
    • Miracle met Ruby at the prime of his career, and they raced together a handful of times in their primes.
    • They make an interesting pairing because of their backgrounds, especially IRL, as Miracle had few expectations for his success while Ruby held prestige as a child of prestigious parents. However, they share similar painful childhood experiences in-game— Ruby’s is in reference to Ruby's real life condition of an asymmetry in her hooves.
  • Bamboo Memory - Miracle's upperclassman and responsible friend. Miracle helps Bamboo with committee work when she can.
    • Bamboo and Miracle met IRL at the twilight of Bamboo's career.
  • Yamanin Zephyr - Friend and rival. Zephyr thinks about Miracle sometimes, worrying she is overworking herself. Miracle also views Zephyr as her "precious classmate".
    • Zephyr and Miracle had somewhat similar beginnings. Both were foaled in 1988, dealt with injuries that delayed their starts, and made their debuts just a month apart in 1991. At the time, Zephyr was campaigned as a sprinter, but his career didn’t take off as quickly as Miracle’s. The two eventually crossed paths in the Sprinters Stakes, where Miracle fell from an injury, denying them a chance to compete properly. Zephyr would find success later in his career and flourish as an impressive Mile distance runner.
  • Daitaku Helios - Friend and Rival. Senior to Miracle. Miracle helps her with many mundane tasks, the most common being keeping up with schoolwork. They make a very odd pair together as the loud and boisterous gal and the gentleman, but Helios has changed Miracle's life tremendously. Before being introduced to the lively atmosphere Helios provided, Miracle was fairly lonely.
    • Helios, Ruby and Miracle ended in the top 3 in the same race IRL. Fans dubbed them a love triangle but, after Miracle’s passing and Ruby's sudden decline, Helios was left alone until he found another companion in Mejiro Palmer.
  • Hishi Miracle - Friend. In contrast to K.S.Miracle, she is an incredibly lax girl. This kind of personality blends well with K.S.Miracle's stubborn personality because it allows her to relax and live without the need to appease others. A big reason she is able to do this is because she's outside of K.S.Miracle's immediate friend circle/generation. When she does find out about Miracle's health conditions in the story event "Words, Heart, Resonate!", their relationship is strained at first but, eventually a mature and even gentler side of Hishi Miracle emerges as she begins to understand her friend better.
  • Mejiro Palmer, Mejiro Ryan, Ines Fujin - Friends of the same generation.
  • Matikanefukukitaru - Friend. They train and hang out together from time to time, and Miracle is quite interested in Fukukitaru's love for fortune-telling.

Trivia

  • She was first announced during the 1.5th Anniversary PakaLive TV stream on August 21, 2022.
  • Shabondama, a song that appears in K.S.Miracle's story, is an old Japanese nursery rhyme where the bubbles that float in the air represent something beautiful yet fragile. The bubbles’ short lifespans are a reminder to cherish every moment. For Miracle, the song Shabondama is likely a reflection of her own fragility, her journey to cherish every moment, and her bond with a trainer who promises to protect her hopes and dreams.
  • As K.S.Miracle’s training scenario progresses, a story is told about a blue bird that brings joy to everyone around it at the cost of itself. As the story progresses, more is revealed about the blue bird, until the pages of that story become blank. It can be inferred that K.S.Miracle is that blue bird and the blank pages in the book represent the untold chapters of her story.
  • Miracle, in Umamusume, is a very talented pianist. It was a skill that she picked up on because she felt the hospital kids around her were lonely and needed a little help in some way.
  • In the game, Classic year Sprinter's Stakes was one of her objectives. However, the objective will be cancelled due to a sudden injury, making the objective moot.
    • This is a reference to her real life counterpart dying during Sprinter's Stakes in 1991 due to "comminuted fracture of the left first phalanx".
    • You will be given one turn with Tazuna afterwards. Depending on actions from previous turns, your career either:
      • Ends on turn 42
      • Continue on with K.S.Miracle healing after.
