Welcome to the Umamusume wiki!
If you're here it means that either someone referred you here or you want to help contribute to the site, that's great! Wikis are built by everyone in the community, so feel free to join us!
The Umamusume Wiki started on February 2024 to bring improvements that the old site (hosted on Fandom) wouldn't allow. Although we're using the same underlying software, MediaWiki, you won't see any intrusive ads and will be able to enjoy a better experience overall, and if you're coming from Fandom you won't have much issue getting started!
Unfortunately, contributions aren't the only help we need from you. Since Fandom doesn't close old wikis that have moved to other platforms, the old Uma Musume wiki will remain appearing on search results. How can you help with this?
- Spread the word around: Telling people there's a new Umamusume wiki will help people discover it!
- Don't click on Fandom links: Although the Fandom link will (almost) always appear first in search engines as Google, scrolling a bit and clicking on this one tells Google and others which site is better for you.
- Install an extension to replace the old wiki: Indie Wiki Buddy was created for this purpose, it replaces Fandom links on search engines with Independent wikis (like us!). This extension is made by a third party, and we do not claim responsability over it.
This site is not affiliated to Cygames, the Umamusume IP holder, in any way. All content on this wiki, with the exception of Cygames-owned content, is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike, unless noted otherwise.
Creating an account
To avoid unwanted spam, you need an account to contribute to the site, but it's relatively easy to create an account so you shouldn't need to worry.
To create an account, you can either click on the "Create account" link that you will see on the top right corner of your screen, or simply click on this link, where you will see the following:
- Username: The user you want to be known as on the site.
- Password: A password used to log in, with some special requirements to create a secure enough password.
- Confirm password: Where you need to enter your chosen password again.
- Email address: An optional field, but it will be required in case you forget your password, so we recommend you set one.
- Real name: An optional field where you can set your Real name for attribution reasons.
And at last, it will ask you a simple question about the franchise to make sure you're not a bot. It should be simple enough for you to know, but if you have any issues, you can get help at our gathering place, the #umamusu-wiki channel in the Uma Musume Discord server.
First contribution
Congratulations! You now have an account and can help build the wiki, but before making your first edit, please take a look at the guidelines and standards for the wiki! This ensures that there's consistency between the articles.
Once you've read over them, then go ahead and make your first edit! If you think something needs changing, be bold and go ahead!
