Trivia
- At the time Fine Motion was imported to Japan, foreign-bred horses were not allowed to participate in races part of the Classic Triple Crown and Tiara. However, she was allowed to participate in Shuka Sho, as it was inaugurated without restrictions to foreign-bred horses, which made it the only race part of the Triple Tiara she was allowed to participate in, and subsequently won.
- Though, in order to ensure she could race in the Shuka Sho, Fine Motion ran in the Rose Stakes, and won.
- When Yutaka Take tried riding on Fine Motion for the first time, her physique was so strong that made Take say "Yes, let's go run in the (Japanese) Derby". Though, she could not run in the Japanese Derby even if they wanted to, as foreign-bred horses like Fine Motion were not allowed to participate at that time.
- Although she was imported to Japan to become a future broodmare, she could not get pregnant due to chromosomal abnormalities.
- A misconception to her condition was that she was born as a hermaphrodite (born with genitalia of both sexes). But in reality, her condition was a result of a chromosomal mix-up, where the Y chromosome was ignored and caused the fetus to develop as a female in utero. She was born as a female, even if her reproductive parts do not work properly. Therefore she was intersex, instead of being a hermaphrodite.
