Appearance

Akitsu Teio is a tall, powerful umamusume with dark brown hair bearing a white diamond mark above the bangs in a long ponytail with six large, golden hairpins in the back. Her racing attire consists of traditional Japanese clothing including hakama pants, tabi socks and sandals, and an outer kimono layer she wears open and draped over her shoulders, with a chest-wrap bandage wrapped across her bust.

Trivia

• Due to her role in the story, she is likely based off of the real-life champion miler Nippo Teio, who won the 1987 Tenno Sho (Autumn), 1987 Mile Championship, and 1988 Yasuda Kinen, and placed second in the 1988 Takarazuka Kinen behind Tamamo Cross.
  • After retirement, Nippo Teio became the sire of Haru Urara.
