Fusaichi Pandora was a Japanese racemare that was active from 2005 to 2007. She was part of Sunday Silence's last crop in 2005, and is known for being the mother of JRA Hall of Fame inductee Almond Eye, a nine G1 winning Japanese racehorse.
Name Origin
Her crown name, Fusaichi, is based on owner Fusao Sekiguchi, a controversial figure in Japanese racing during the 2000s. A combination of "Fusao" and "ichiban" (Fusao is number one).

Retirement
After the Japan Cup, it was announced that Fusaichi Pandora would run her last race in the Arima Kinen. However, a day before the race, it was announced that Fusaichi Pandora would withdraw due to lameness in her left hip.
Breeding career
Fusaichi Pandora was sent to Northern Farm where she would be a broodmare. She would give birth to her first foal on February 20th 2009, a colt by Symboli Kris S. Fusaichi Pandora would go on to have nine foals in total before her death on October 28th, 2017.
After her death, her foal by Lord Kanaloa, Almond Eye, would win the Shinzan Kinen on January 8th, 2018. Almond Eye would go on to win nine Grade 1 races in Japan, becoming one of Japan's greatest racehorses and becoming the first Japanese horse to win nine Grade 1 turf races.
