regarding almond eye and team ascella

is there enough information to be able to say if she's a part of team ascella or not? in the epilogue of main story 2 cesario says something along the lines of "to think a girl like that would come from team ascella" while talking about almond eye, with king halo acknowledging it and commending both her and the trainer. as such it's kind of odd to me that she's not on the list. im therefore wondering if there is a reason for her omission i haven't noticed? Almond Eye is not the Ascella member in that race, it's the unnamed Triple Crown winner (Contrail) that loses to her. It's why only Fusaichi Pandora is cheering for her in that race. The other Ascella members talking about the race are referring to the Triple Crown winner as their teammate. DragonOfAtlantis (talk) 17:41, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

Genuine question, is there actual direct confirmation to this, or is this speculation? Because from a story perspective and Almond Eye as a character, I was under the impression that they were all referring to Almond Eye. NeroonRewind (talk) 18:29, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

reading back the dialogue it does say "無敗の三冠ウマ娘らしく", which means an undefeated triple crown, so at the very least ruling out almond eye. they use triple tiara for the tiara races though so i do think its safe to assume its talking about contrail. i don't know how i missed the "undefeated" part in that sentence though, so that ones on me Twistquest (talk) 19:46, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

The other evidence is the fact that of the three Triple Crowns/Tiaras in that race, only one of them was ridden by Fukunaga, which was Contrail. Almond Eye is a Lemaire horse and Tact is Matsuyama. DragonOfAtlantis (talk) 20:25, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

the in game one using a certain tool seems to be consistent with the source but the most popular one on youtube seems to have switched it out with "undefeated triple tiara" Twistquest (talk) 14:09, 22 March 2026 (UTC)

Loto mentions in the comments that they had misunderstood assumptions about the Undefeated Triple Crown line and accidentally associated the dialogue with the Fillies rather than the intended subject of Contrail. DragonOfAtlantis (talk) 15:06, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
