Sayumi Suzushiro (鈴代紗弓) is the voice actress for Satono Crown in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Background
Sayumi Suzushiro first discovered the profession of voice acting after her elementary school graduation ceremony, when she had a conversation about what she wanted to be in the future with her teacher and friends; her teacher noted that she had a "carrying voice" and suggested she become a voice actress.
During her years in junior high, she had the opportunity to listen to Nippon Cultural Broadcasting's Cho! A&G+ radio show, and while researching Yuka Iguchi, who was a guest on the show. She learned that she was a voice actress and thought, "Voice actors do radio shows too!" At the same time, she also became interested in acting, and wanted to be in an anime she was passionate about, contributing to her interest in voice acting.[1]
In her second year of high school, she attended the Japan Narration Acting Institute while working several part-time jobs.
In her first year of training, she passed an audition and joined Arts Vision, making her debut as a voice actress in the game "Altair Chronicle" In 2017, she made her TV anime debut as a female student in "Love Live! Sunshine!!". In 2018, she played her first main character role as Akira Oono in High Score Girl. In 2019, she played her first leading role as Kirie in The Magnificent KOTOBUKI. In 2020, she won the Best New Actress award at the 14th Seiyuu Awards.[2]
In 2024, she won the Best Singing award at the 18th Seiyuu Awards for her role as the unit Kessoku Band in the anime Bocchi the Rock.[3]
