Background

Nozomi Yamamoto grew up in a town called Misawa, located in Aomori prefecture. Due to her family's love for anime, she also grew a fond appreciation for anime and claims that it has been "a part of her life since birth".[1] After watching Ojamajo Doremi in elementary school, she developed an admiration for voice actors, and decided she wanted to become a voice actress in fifth grade. In high school, she joined her school's broadcasting club, up until she graduated.[2]

Upon enrolling in university, she decided to attend the Japan Narration and Acting Institute. A year later, she became affiliated with the agency VIMS.[3] In 2011, she made her voice acting debut by playing the protagonist, Usano Aoi, in the game Gal☆Gun.
