Background
Nozomi Yamamoto grew up in a town called Misawa, located in Aomori prefecture. Due to her family's love for anime, she also grew a fond appreciation for anime and claims that it has been "a part of her life since birth".[1] After watching Ojamajo Doremi in elementary school, she developed an admiration for voice actors, and decided she wanted to become a voice actress in fifth grade. In high school, she joined her school's broadcasting club, up until she graduated.[2]
Upon enrolling in university, she decided to attend the Japan Narration and Acting Institute. A year later, she became affiliated with the agency VIMS.[3] In 2011, she made her voice acting debut by playing the protagonist, Usano Aoi, in the game Gal☆Gun.
On January 1, 2020, she publicly announced that she had gotten married.[4] Later, on July 7, 2023, she announced on social media that she had safely given birth to their first child.[5]
