• TRYS is the name of a handful of companies, but トライス means “a very short period of time”
• Alphard is the brightest star in the Hydra constellation, whose name means “the solitary one” and is surrounded by no other bright stars
• METI means “messaging extraterrestrial intelligence”
• Eternal reoccurrence is “a concept which posits that the universe has been recurring, and will continue to recur, in a self-similar form an infinite number of times across infinite time or space”.
• This may be a stretch but STRC is the name of a gene which, in humans, produces a protein called stereocillin. Mutations in this gene are a frequent cause of deafness.
