This page will ONLY cover the setup and installation of the Japanese Version of Umamusume on various platforms.

DMM (Recommended)

Part 1: Creating DMM Games account

1. Go to the DMM Games Sign In page.

2. You are given an option to sign in with various applications. It is best to login either on Google or via other email. If you want to login with your Gmail account, click on "Google" and proceed with account logins. If you are using other Emails, click on the Mail option.

3. If you are using another email for login, type in the Email and Password for your account. The checkbox, enabled by default, will sign you up for their newsletter. It is safe to untick the checkbox to avoid getting unnecessary promotions from DMM.

4. You are then prompted to enter your verification code. Check your email and find the email that is shown below. Copy the verification code and login.

Part 2: DMM Games Launcher

1. Once your DMM Games account is setup, go to https://dmg.umamusume.jp/ and click the big pink button to download the DMM Games Launcher.

2. Download and install any VPN of choice. Once installed, connect to a Japanese VPN.

3. Install the DMM Games Launcher and open it once installed. You will be redirected to your browser to login. If you want to keep logged in, tick the checkbox below. You will be prompted with a terms of service window. You can read the ToS (if you want). Tick the first checkbox to accept, and press the orange button to confirm. If you are prompted with the first popup once the launcher loads, untick those and click the orange button again.

4. On the DMM Launcher, click on ゲーム一覧 and search "umamusume". Click on the Icon then click on the orange button to download. Set your game's directory and install it. Read the ToS and tick the first box on the ToS screen to agree, and the third box to add the game on your games, then click the orange button again to start downloading.

5. Once the download is complete, you can launch the game. It will ask you to open the game as Administrator. Confirm and start the game! At this point, you can close your DMM launcher and turn off the VPN.

Steam

1. Download and install any VPN of choice. Once installed, connect to a Japanese VPN. Keep the VPN open on this entire process.

2. Go to Steam Sign in page and register your email. Make sure that the Country of Residence is set to Japan.

3. Finish setup with verification and username and password setup.

4. Install Steam for your computer and login with the account you created.

5. Go back to your browser and go to the Umamusume JP store page and add it on your library. Once added, download it on the Steam Client.

6. Open the game once downloaded and enjoy!

Note: Gamesharing for the game is not allowed. If you have an existing Steam account, add the other account on the Steam Client then you can switch between accounts if you have Umamusume EN also installed on your main Steam account, or if you have majority of your games on it.

Android

1. Download QooApp on your Android Phone. Once the APK file is downloaded, install it.

2 Once QooApp is installed, open the application and confirm your age. Then you are asked to login. First, agree on ToS annd Privacy Policy. Since we are only downloading the game, it is recommended to login as Guest unless you want to register. Also, Ignore Isekai Pass (unless you want to).

3. Go to Games and search Umamusume. Tap on the Japanese version and install it. At that point, you can also install Korean and Taiwanese versions of the game.

  • Before installing, make sure that "Install Unknown Apps" for QooApp are turned on. Please refer to this video for instructions.

4. Continue with the usual setups and enjoy playing!

iOS

1. Create a JP Apple ID. You can use this video as your reference. Make sure that everything is set up under Japan to avoid errors.

2. Login to the App Store with your JP Apple ID. Search Umamusume and install it.
