Background

Haruka Terui was born in Iwate, Japan on March 7, 1987. Discovering the world of voice acting from watching Ranma 1/2 in elementary school, she was quickly enamored. She joined theater throughout middle school and high school. In 2009, she jump-started her career in voice acting by playing the roles Inaba, Kimoto, and Saionji in Gakkatsu![1]. She eventually scored her first leading role in 2014 as Kobeni Yonomori in Engaged to the Unidentified.

From that point on, she became incredibly active in not only the voice acting industry, but she also partook in radio shows, music performances, narration, and stage plays.[2]

Through her passion for the board game Go, she met her now husband, Tomoya Hirata. The two married on March 3, 2021.[3]
