Game:Stat Training
Effects of Stats
Disclaimer: The below description of the stats are accurate for what JP servers had at launch, and is only assumed to be what the English version servers have. Over the years the way stats work (specifically Guts and Power) have changed, and so this guide will be updated if we learn that the English version will be using the updated version of these stats instead.
Listed below is how each stat affects the trainee is affected by the stat during races.
Speed
Affects top speed during the last spurt (final third of the race).
Stamina
The Stamina stat behaves like a hidden HP bar for your trainee. If your trainee runs out of stamina mid-race, her running speed will be significantly slower. The speed at which the trainee's stamina drains depends on how fast she is, her running style, as well as the length and condition of the racetrack.
Power
Affects how fast you accelerate, speed on uphills and how fast you can change lanes. More power helps the trainee break out of crowds and get to the front.
Guts
Lowers stamina consumption during last spurt (final third) of the race. Not useful in large quantities but you will still want to get at least a small amount (300-400).
Wit
Out of all the possible stats to raise, Wit affects the most. Notably, it changes the following:
- Increased chance to trigger skills during the race
- Increased chance for a speed increase on downhill segments
- Shrinks the variance in speed your trainee can have over the course of the race, for the better
- Decreases the probability of triggering the Rushed effect during the first half of race
Stat Training
During stat training every training type behaves slightly differently:
| Speed Training | Stamina Training | Power Training | Guts Training | Wit Training | |
| Speed Increase | High | Low | Low | ||
| Stamina Increase | High | Average | |||
| Power Increase | Average | High | Low | ||
| Guts Increase | Average | High | |||
| Wit Increase | High | ||||
| Skill Points Gain | Average | Average | Average | Average | High |
| Energy Consumption | Average | Average | Average | High | Energy regained |
Every turn the amount of stats you gain from each training is modified by a handful of factors such as the level of the training for each stat, for example in the picture shown below Guts training is up to level 5, every four times you train a specific stat the level will increase permanently for that run increasing how many stats you get while doing that type of training.
You can also get support cards to appear during training, they will show up as small icons individually on the right hand side of the screen with each support card providing different size buffs to how many points you get.
Every time you do a training with a support card that specific card's friendship gauge will increase, once it gets high enough it will be able to enter rainbow mode (shown by a rainbow aura around the icon and training button where it will provide a large boost to stat gain if it appears on the same type of training type as the support card (ie.speed support card showing up for the speed training).

Support cards also have a chance of triggering skill hints during training (these are different than the skill hints they can give during events associated with that support card). You will know if a support card will give you a skill hint when training with it that turn as there will be a red exclamation mark next to both the support card icon and the button for that training. Skill hints from training with a support card will also increase that support's bond gauge by 5 points.

Yayoi Akikawa and Etsuko Otonashi are two characters that can appear during stat training if you selected URA for the career mode. Just like support cards they can appear as supports during training and you can raise their bond gauges. These two however do not enter rainbow mode (as they have no stat type). Yayoi and Etsuko will give various bonuses over the course of the run if you raise their bond level high enough.
