== Background ==
Kotomi was born in Aichi Prefecture. When she was in 5th grade, she watched Cardcaptor Sakura and HUNTER×HUNTER for the first time, and decided after watching them that she wanted to become a "2-dimensional boy". She has had an interest in more boyish characters since she was little, such as in kindergarten, when she had a collection of Sailor Uranus merchandise.
