			After suffering huge losses from running his last six races in 1996, and with his age taken into consideration, his team decided to retire him. He stood stud at Saito Farm in 1997, located in Miyagi Prefecture's Naruko Town (currently Osaki City), with his children being eligible to race in 1998. None of his children had achieved significant success.

			In January 15th, 1998, after standing stud for a year, he died of a heart failure, having only sired five children in his short year of stud service.
