This was Hashida's first ride given to Take since [[IRL:Silence Suzuka\|Silence Suzuka]]'s fatal accident in the Tenno Sho (Autumn) a week prior. He won the race by 2 1/2 lengths, but after a deliberation from the track stewards, Admire Vega would be demoted to 4th place for obstruction. For Hashida, it was a major setback for Admire Vega, and knowing he was at the risk of losing Take for the Classics, ran Admire Vega soon after.
