Discovering the world of voice acting from watching ''Ranma 1/2'' in elementary school, she was quickly enamored. She joined theater throughout middle school and high school. In 2009, she jump-started her career in voice acting by playing the roles Inaba, Kimoto, and Saionji in ''Gakkatsu!''<ref>https://artist.cdjournal.com/a/terui-haruka/923939</ref>. She eventually scored her first leading role in 2014 as Kobeni Yonomori in ''Engaged to the Unidentified''.
